The updated Skoda Kodiaq will debut in India next month at the Bharat Mobility Expo. While Skoda has yet to make an official confirmation, the model is expected to make an appearance at the highly anticipated automotive show, alongside the Octavia RS. Having made its global debut last year, the SUV is now likely to go on sale here between April and June 2025. Although it’s too early to comment on the price, the new Kodiaq will likely carry a significant premium over the current model, which starts at Rs 39.99 lakh, owing to the design and feature upgrades seen on the global-spec version. It will continue to lock horns with the Jeep Meridian, the MG Gloster, and the Toyota Fortuner.
New Skoda Kodiaq: Design and Features
The Kodiaq's facelift will feature a more aggressive, sharper appearance. The famous butterfly grille with vertical slats will remain, as seen in the previous spy images. However, a unique split-headlamp arrangement with bigger primary units and eye-catching LED DRLs will enhance the front appearance. There will also be a slimmer air dam and a front-mounted radar sensor, suggesting the integration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The SUV will also come with updated alloy wheels, a redesigned bumper, a C-shaped wraparound LED taillights, and a sleeker lower window line that rises near the C-pillar.

Features-wise, the India spec Kodiaq is expected to provide a premium experience, with a fully digital instrument cluster, LED matrix headlights, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and ventillated and heated front seats. For safety, it is expected to have electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, up to nine airbags, and ADAS with features of blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.
New Skoda Kodiaq: Powertrain
The new Kodiaq is available with a variety of powertrain options globally, such as a 2.0-litre TSI engine with all-wheel drive (201bhp), a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology (148bhp), and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine with front-wheel drive (151bhp) and all-wheel drive (201bhp). For the first time, Skoda has introduced a plug-in hybrid powertrain in the Kodiaq, combining a 1.5-litre TSI engine with an electric motor, offering an all-electric range of over 100 kilometres.
