Toyota Innova Crysta, Fortuner Waiting Period Goes up to 3 Months in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has boosted production of its SUVs, resulting in shorter waiting periods for two of its popular models. As per the latest update, the waiting time for the Innova Crysta is now between two to three months, down from five months in July. Lower-spec variants typically have a wait of around two months, while the mid-spec GX+ and the fully equipped ZX variants have a slightly longer wait of three months. Some dealerships may even offer the MPV in under a month, depending on stock availability. Meanwhile, the Fortuner's waiting period has been reduced to a maximum of two months. However, it's important to note that these timelines may vary based on the dealer and region.

Toyota Innova Crysta, Fortuner: Exterior, Engine Options, and Price

The Toyota Innova Crysta features a bold and refined design with a larger front grille and sleek, angular headlights. The MPV is equipped with stylish 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and an updated bumper for a more modern look. Its elegant body lines and premium touches enhance its overall road presence. The model is available in five colour options: Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Attitude Black Mica, Avant-Garde Bronze Metallic, and Super White. Under the hood, the Crysta is powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, delivering 148bhp of peak and 343Nm of maximum torque.

The ex-showroom price of the Toyota Innova Crysta in India ranges from Rs 19.99 lakh to Rs 26.55 lakh. While it has no direct competitors, it serves as an alternative to vehicles like the Mahindra Marazzo, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Tata Harrier, and Kia Carens.

Coming to the Fortuner, it features a wider front grille with less chrome, 18-inch alloy wheels, a more aggressive bumper, a redesigned fog lamp housing, a faux skid plate on the chin, smaller headlights with an LED DRL signature, and LED tail lights. The model's price in India ranges from Rs 33.43 lakh to Rs 51.44 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it competes with the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and MG Gloster.

On the mechanical front, the Fortuner offers two engine choices: a 2.7-litre petrol unit and a 2.8-litre diesel unit. The diesel engine produces 201bhp and 500Nm of peak torque, while the petrol engine generates 164bhp and 245Nm of torque. The diesel variant also offers an optional 4x4 system. For transmission, the petrol engine is paired with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic, while the diesel engine comes with a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic.
