2023 Tata Harrier Launched in India at Rs 15.49 Lakh, Automatic Variant Starts at Rs 19.99 Lakh
The all-new Tata Harrier facelift has finally made its way to the Indian market today at a starting price of Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Indian automaker is offering the 2023 iteration of the Harrier in four core trims - Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Fearless.
The updated Harrier and Safari facelifts have been finally launched by Tata Motors in India today. The price of the car starts at Rs 15.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.49 lakh. Both figures are ex-showroom. From design and features to technology and performance, both models have undergone significant improvements inside-out. As a result, the all-new SUVs now come equipped with some of the segment-leading features, including a 12.3-inch HD infotainment unit, a motorised tailgate, a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, ADAS, and an automatic parking brake with auto hold. The automaker expects that the launch of these revised models will help it gain ground in the fiercely competitive Indian mid-size SUV market. The facelifted Harrier and Safari bookings are currently open for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Last month, the revised iterations of the Tata Nexon and the Nexon EV were rolled out by the homegrown carmaker in the Indian market. Tata Harrier Facelift: Variants and Styling Highlights
The 2023 Harrier is being offered in four core trims - Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Fearless. Moreover, customers can choose from a pool of seven appealing colours including, Sunlit Yellow, Coral Red, Pebble Grey, Lunar White, Oberon Black, Seaweed Green, and Ash Grey.
Like they did with the all-new Nexon, Tata Motors has significantly modified the exterior design of the Harrier. Redesigned grille, revamped LED split headlights, and updated LED DRLs that cover the car's width are some of the noticeable improvements. New tail lights and full-width lighting are also added to the SUVs' rear. One more element that stands out is the skid plate. Apart from all these changes, the SUV also gets 18-inch alloy wheels.
Tata Harrier Facelift: Feature List
As for the interior features, the Harrier boasts an extensive set of standard equipment, such as ambient lighting, a newly designed steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more. The SUV will also include dual-zone climate control, leatherette mid-pad embellishments, a premium 10-speaker JBL surround sound system, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, and a motor-powered tailgate with gesture control.
To ensure the safety of the driver and passengers, the car has a safety suite comprising cruise control, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, and an automatic parking brake.
Tata Harrier Facelift: Engine Specs and Driving Modes
The 2.0-litre "Kryotec" diesel engine of the 2023 Harrier will continue to be coupled with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic torque converter transmission. The maximum power output of this engine, which meets the BS6 Phase 2 norms, is 168bhp along with 350Nm of peak torque. The fuel efficiency figures for the new Harrier stand at 14.60km/l for the automatic version and 16.80km/l for the manual version. The manual model's fuel economy has increased by 0.45km/l from 16.35km/l compared to prior numbers, while the automatic model maintains the same value.
Three driving modes, including Eco, City, and Sport, will be available for the facelifted version of the Harrier. Three additional traction modes—Normal, Rough, and Wet—have also been added by the manufacturer.
Tata Harrier Facelift: Market Competitors
In the Indian market, the facelifted Harrier will continue to compete against the likes of the Jeep Compass, the Kia Seltos, the Hyundai Creta, and the MG Hector, among others.
