Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8, Z8 Select Variants Get Ventillated Front Seats, Wireless Charger and More

Mahindra has added new features to the higher-end variants of the Scorpio-N SUV – Z8, Z8 L, and Z8 Select. Despite this, the pricing of these variants remains the same as before. The recently launched Scorpio-N Z8 Select is priced from Rs 17.10 lakh, while the Z8 and the Z8 L start at Rs 18.74 lakh and Rs 20.37 lakh, respectively. The prices are ex-showroom, India.
At their price points, the Z8 and the Z8 Select now get a wireless charger and a gloss black centre console finish, while the top-spec Z8 L additionally offers ventillated front seats, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and an active cooling function with a wireless charging pad to keep the phone from overheating. Alongside these, Mahindra has also introduced a new Midnight Black colour on all Z8 variants. The colour was previously exclusive to the Z8 Select. Other features, including a 7.0-inch touchscreen system, sunroof, powered driver's seat, 12-speaker Sony audio system, and 18-inch alloys, remain the same.

For safety, you get six airbags, hill-hold assist, ABS, electronic stability control, front and rear cameras, as well as a tyre pressure monitoring system. Under the hood, the Mahindra Scorpio-N gets two powertrain options: 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel, both mated to their respective 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. Although the SUV comes standard with rear-wheel drive (RWD), the 173bhp diesel variant also has a four-wheel drive (4WD) option.
The Scorpio-N ranges from Rs 13.85 lakh to Rs 24.54 lakh in India. The prices are ex-showroom. In our market, it takes on the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, Kia Seltos, and the Mahindra XUV700. Speaking of which, Mahindra has added two new exterior paint job options to the existing colour palette of the XUV700 – Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna.

Priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra XUV700 comes in seven variants: MX, AX3, AX5, AX5 Select, AX7, AX7 Luxury, and AX7 Luxury Blaze Edition.
