Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Attracts Discount up to Rs 87,000 in March 2024
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is up against some fierce competitors in the market, including the Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Honda Elevate, the Volkswagen Taigun, and the MG Astor.
Maruti Suzuki has rolled out several appealing offers on its Arena and Nexa models for March 2024. The hybrid variants of the Grand Vitara SUV are available with offers worth Rs 87,000 this month. These benefits for the MY2024 models can be had in the form of a Rs 30,000 consumer discount, a Rs 50,000 exchange bonus, and a Rs 7,000 corporate discount. Meanwhile, the MY2023 stock models are eligible for comparatively higher savings of up to Rs 1.02 lakh, which include a Rs 7,000 corporate discount, a Rs 50,000 exchange incentive, and a Rs 45,000 consumer discount.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Engine and Transmission
The Grand Vitara is offered with two engine options – a 1.5-litre mild hybrid and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid. While the former generates 102bhp, the latter is good for 114.4bhp. In addition to self-charging technology, the petrol strong-hybrid system has three driving modes: pure EV, hybrid, and petrol. The strong hybrid unit is exclusively available with an e-CVT gearbox, whereas the mild hybrid unit can be purchased with either a six-speed automatic or manual five-speed transmission. This 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine produces 121.5Nm of peak torque and 86.6bhp of maximum power while running on CNG.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Interior and Safety Features
The Vitara offers a variety of attractive features, including the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the built-in Next Gen Suzuki Connect with 40+ connected capabilities, along with a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated & heated seats.
In terms of safety, the mid-size SUV includes six airbags, seat belt warning for all occupants, ISOFIX for child seats, ABS with EBD, ESP, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and the recently added advanced pedestrian safety feature called Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS), which alerts pedestrians to an oncoming EV. It functions by producing a low-pitched warning sound, with an audible range of five feet. The new safety feature was included under Automotive Industry Standard (AIS) 173, which mandates the inclusion of a pedestrian safety feature in fuel-cell vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel-cell hybrids with at least one electric motor or an electric motor generator.
