Tata Tiago Variant Prices Rejigged, Adjusted by up to Rs 20,000 in India
Regarding the mechanical details, the Tata Tiago hatchback is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that can generate 85bhp of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque. The mill can be mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission.
With effect from this month, Tata Motors has revised the price of all models in its portfolio. Going into the magnitude of the latest price update, Tiago's XT(O) model has seen a price increase of Rs 20,000. Furthermore, the XZ+, XZ+ dual-tone, XZA+, XZA+ dual-tone, XZ+ CNG, and XZ+ CNG dual-tone all get a price hike of Rs 15,000. On the other hand, the XE, XE CNG, and XM CNG models have all seen a uniform hike of Rs 5,000 at the same time. However, the XT Rhythm variant's price has been lowered by Rs 10,000. Other than that, the pricing for XT, XTA, and XT CNG versions has not changed. At the moment, the Tiago range starts at Rs 5.65 lakh and goes up to Rs 8.35 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. The Indian carmaker will shortly add CNG automatic versions to the lineup.

In the meantime, the engine in CNG versions belts out 95Nm and 72bhp, and it is paired with a single 5-speed manual gearbox.

As for the features, the car has a digital driver's display, an automated climate control system, an 8-speaker sound system, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and other amenities. For added safety, it boasts rear parking sensors, cornering stability control, ABS with EBD, and dual front airbags.

Prospective customers can choose from a pool of five attractive exterior shades for this Tata hatchback. These include Arizona Blue, Daytona Grey, Opal White, Flame Red, and Midnight Plum.
Tata Motors Sales Figures: January 2024
A couple of weeks back, Tata Motors revealed its sales figures for last month. The company sold 53,633 passenger cars (including EVs), up 12 per cent from 47,987 units over the same time the previous year. Besides, it exported 400 PVs in the same time frame, a 32 per cent YoY surge. It's interesting to note that sales of electric cars in India and export markets in January totalled 6,979 units, a notable 69 pe rcent increase from 4,133 units the previous month.
Tata Nexon Electric, Tiago EV Prices Slashed
In other news, Tata Motors' electric vehicle (EV) division announced that it has reduced vehicle costs, making this the first time an Indian EV manufacturer has done so. Following a Rs 70,000 price cut, the Tiago EV now starts at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Nexon EV's price has been reduced by up to Rs 1.2 lakh. Consequently, the ex-showroom pricing of the electric sub-compact SUV is now Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Long Range variant costs Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
