Aprilia RSV4, RSV4 Factory: Key Highlights
The Aprilia RSV4 and RSV4 Factory are propelled by a 1099cc liquid-cooled V4 engine that produces a maximum power of 220bhp (3bhp more) and a peak torque of 125Nm. A six-speed gearbox transfers power to the back wheel. The V4 receives 4mm larger throttle bodies (52mm) and a new exhaust system with a repositioned catalytic converter to decrease the heat directed at the rider. It also allows for simpler installation of custom exhaust mufflers.
The bikes have the same chassis, but the RSV4 Factory boasts semi-active suspension from Ohlins. The braking chores are handled by Brembo Hypure brake callipers. To anticipate rider needs, the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) system now has predictive capabilities that monitor real-time data such as speed and lean angle. The motorcycle also features a five-inch TFT color display with redesigned graphics, a fuel level indicator, new backlit handlebar controls, and a more lightweight upper triple clamp.
