Omega Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition: A Closer Look at this Stunning Watch
Omega, the Official Timekeeper of the Paris Olympics 2024, has unveiled a special watch in recognition of those coveted medals at the Olympic Games.
The 2024 Paris Olympics has captured global attention and given its monumental significance, it’s only fitting that the partners involved in the event must not be any less than world-class. It is no surprise, then, that Omega has been named the Official Timekeeper of the Paris 2024 Olympics – a role that the Swiss watchmaker has proudly held since 1932. As a tribute to the three coveted medals at the Olympic games – Gold, Bronze, and Silver – Omega has unveiled a special timepiece, the Bronze Gold Edition.
The watch stands out with its vintage design, inspired by a classic Omega wristwatch from 1939. It brings together three legendary elements – a 39mm case, a radiant Ag 925 silver dial, and slender hands crafted from 18K Sedna Gold, coated with a special PVD Bronze Gold finish.
The watch draws inspiration from a timepiece that housed Omega’s famed 30T manual-winding small seconds calibre, originally marked with the reference ‘CK 859’ on technical sheets. The Paris 2024 tribute features the engraving ‘BG 859’ on its case back. Omega’s proprietary Bronze Gold alloy, known for its soft pink hue and exceptional resistance to corrosion, enriches this timepiece. The alloy contains 37.5% gold, hallmarked as 9K, along with palladium and silver.

Additional notable features include the ‘Clous de Paris’ pattern at the centre of the dial – a nod to French craftsmanship. The watch has a circular brushed pattern on the minute track and small seconds subdial track at 6 o’clock, while the dark grey Omega logo is rendered in the brand’s heritage style. The case back is adorned with a stamped and frosted Olympic Games Paris 2024 medallion.
The Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition is paired with a brown calfskin leather strap, featuring a sandblasted Bronze Gold buckle with a polished vintage Omega logo in positive relief. This same vintage logo also embellishes the watch’s crown.
The timepiece is powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8926. Each watch comes with a certification card, confirming that it has passed the Master Chronometer tests set by METAS (the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology), within a special presentation box designed to house the timepiece.
