Lexus ES, RX, NX and More Help Record 14% Domestic Sales Growth in H1 2024
Compared to January–June 2023, Lexus India's range of SUVs (LX, NX, and RX) registered a 60 per cent increase year-over-year.
Lexus has reported that its vehicle sales in India during the first half of 2024 posted a 14 percent increase year-over-year. And the company's made-in-India ES sedan had a pivotal role in that sales growth, accounting for 55 percent of total sales. Lexus, which commenced its operations in India in March 2017, credited this growth to robust consumer demand and strong market acceptance.
While the sedan fuelled the growth, a range of SUVs (RX, NX, and LX), in particular, also played an important role. Compared to January–June 2023, the latter registered a 60 percent increase year-over-year, consistent with a larger trend where the demand for luxury cars and SUVs has seen positive movement.
