Ola hyper charging stations will soon be operational and the customers will benefit from a free-of-cost hyper-charging facility until the first half of the next year.
Ola Electric has started setting up hyperchargers in public places such as residential complexes. One can also find Ola’s hypercharging outlet at some BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) pumps.
The brand also plans on expanding the charging network by setting up 4,000 charging stations across India before the end of 2022. The charging stations which will be set up in the first phase shall be operational within 6-8 weeks. Ola’s hypercharger can recharge the scooter’s battery from 0 to 50 per cent in 18 minutes. This should offer a useable range of up to 70-75 km. A standard home charger will take up to 4hrs and 50 mins to fully charge the S1 and the S1 Pro will take 6 hours.
The hyper charging service will be free to Ola customers until June 30, 2022. Recently, Ather Energy extended its free-of-cost fast charging service as well. Ather owners can now avail benefits of free fast-charging until the end of June 2022. Ather also plans on expanding the Ather Grid 2.0 charging network in the next year. Ather has targetted opening 500 Ather Grid 2.0 stations in the financial year 2022.
The Ola S1 has been priced at Rs. 1 lakh, whereas, the S1 Pro will set you back by Rs. 1.3 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).The Ather 450 Plus and the Ather 450X demand up to Rs. 1.25 lakh and Rs. 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom). However, these prices are likely to differ according to the government subsidies in different states.
