The deliveries of the Ola S1 and the Ola S1 Pro are likely to catch pace very soon, as the CEO confirms that the brand is planning on expanding its production numbers!
Bhavesh Aggarwal, CEO, Ola Electric, confirmed via a tweet that the manufacturer is ramping up its production. The target to reach is 1,000 units of Ola Electric scooters per day.
The tweet also confirms that Ola Electric will soon resume the bookings for the second batch of scooters. We’re expecting the brand to resume bookings by the end of this month via the same online portal; and with the new target in mind, the deliveries of the S1 and S1 Pro are likely to progress soon.
Ola has received a lot of flak on the social network for not being able to deliver the first batch of the scooters in the promised time frame. Although, the brand did dispatch a sizeable chunk of its production to its respective customers last month.
Additionally, the firm has not announced any price increase given the shortage of semiconductors. Both the Ola S1 and the Ola S1 Pro retail for the same introductory cost which was announced last year.
The Ola S1 is priced at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Ola S1 Pro, which is the higher-spec and more powerful model, is priced at Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). Both the scooters feature OTA (Over The Air) updates, however, so far, there hasn’t been any release of a new update for the electric scooters.
