New Hyundai Creta SUV Crosses 80,000 Bookings in India Within 3 Months of Launch
Hyundai India recently launched the performance-driven Creta N Line for a price tag of Rs 16.82 lakh (ex-showroom). It sports a unique design, an all-black interior, a six-speed manual gearbox, and a ton of N Line-exclusive accessories and features.
In February, the South Korean car major Hyundai announced that over 51,000 reservations were made for the Creta facelift. This announcement came within a month of the opening of order books. Now, in a recent development, the brand has revealed that this booking mark has significantly increased with over 80,000 bookings recorded so far for the popular SUV. The price range of the Creta currently starts from Rs 11 lakh and goes up to Rs 20 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. As far as its market rivals are concerned, it competes against the likes of the Volkswagen Taigun, the MG Astor, the Honda Elevate, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and the Skoda Kushaq.
A few days ago, the company also launched the performance-driven Creta N Line for a price tag of Rs 16.82 lakh (ex-showroom). It sports a unique design, an all-black interior, a six-speed manual gearbox, a ton of N Line-exclusive accessories and features, and fresh alloy wheels. Meanwhile, here's a quick look at the standard Creta's features, design, specs, and more.
Hyundai Creta SUV: Design Elements
The 2024 Creta's design is influenced by Hyundai's extensive range of SUVs worldwide. On the updated car, the headlights are stacked vertically and have DRLs that span across the front of the grille. The model still seems more menacing, though, thanks to its redesigned bumper design and faux skid plates. The tail lamps continue the design pattern towards the back with a strip that runs the width of the boot. The installation of a large skid plate is another alteration to the rear bumper layout. The vehicle's dimensions stand at 1,635mm in height, 1,790mm in breadth, and 4,330mm in length overall. It features a 190mm ground clearance and a 2,610mm wheelbase.
Hyundai Creta SUV: Engine Specs
Speaking of the mechanical details, three engine options are available for the updated Hyundai Creta: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel mill, and a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit. The first two units, which are capable of developing 250Nm/114bhp and 144Nm/113bhp, respectively, have been modified to meet the more stringent BS6 Phase II emission standards. The new turbo GDi petrol engine, on the other hand, produces 158bhp of maximum power and 253Nm of peak torque. Moving on, there are four options for handling transmission duties: a six-speed manual, an IVT, a standard seven-speed DCT, and a six-speed automatic.
Hyundai Creta SUV: What Features Does it Offer?
Features-wise, the revamped SUV boasts a completely redesigned cockpit with a twin-screen touchscreen infotainment system and an all-digital instrument console. The aircon vents and revised panels give the car a more upscale appearance. Power seats, a leatherette-wrapped gear shifter, a flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, surround view and blind spot view monitors, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated seats, a Bose premium sound system with eight speakers, a panoramic sunroof, and over seventy connected car features are just a few of the creature comforts that come standard with the model.
Hyundai Creta SUV: The Improved Safety Suite
The new Creta has enhanced safety features in the form of a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), all-wheel disc brakes, electric parking brake with auto hold, front parking sensor, hill-start assist control, emergency stop signal, six airbags, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, lane keep, and departure assist.
Hyundai Creta SUV: Variants and Colour Options
Seven different variants—E, EX, S, S (O), SX, SX Tech, and SX (O)—across six mono- and one dual-tone paint options are offered for the Creta facelift. These comprise the all-new Robust Emerald Pearl, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey, and Atlas White with Black Roof (dual-tone).
