Mahindra XUV300 Launched with Updated Powertrains; Prices Start at Rs 8.41 Lakh
Mahindra has updated the powertrains on the XUV300 for the 2023 model year. The sub-4-metre SUV now has engines that meet BS6 Phase 2 emission norms. The automaker continues to offer four XUV300 variants. W4, W6, W8, and W8 (O) are among them, with prices starting at Rs 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom).
The updated XUV300 sub-4m SUV from Mahindra has been launched in the country, with prices ranging from Rs 8.41 lakh to Rs 14.14 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The updated powertrain has made the Mahindra XUV300 compliant with the BS6 Phase 2 emission standards, which are expected to go into effect starting next month. Further, two engine options are also available for the updated Mahindra XUV300 – a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine, which delivers 109bhp of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which churns out 115bhp of peak power and 300Nm of torque. Customers can also choose between a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed AMT transmission, both of which are available with both engine options. The updated Mahindra XUV300 is available in 14 different configurations.

The top-spec model includes features like dual-zone climate control, a sizable 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, steering modes, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, and much more. With a 5-star safety rating for adult occupant protection from Global-NCAP and safety features like 6 airbags, corner braking control (CBC), ABS with EBD, and Traction Control (TC), the Mahindra XUV300 SUV also maintains its position as one of the safest sub-4m SUVs available for purchase in India.
The Mahindra XUV300 currently faces competition from models like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Honda WR-V, all of which are sub-4 metres in length. The Indian automaker hopes to increase sales in the coming weeks with the release of the updated version of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV.

In related news, Mahindra Auto recently announced its monthly sales figures for February 2023, revealing an 8% overall increase. The company sold 58,801 units in the month, which is an increase from 54,455 units in the same period last year. The company also reported a 10% year-on-year (YoY) increase in passenger vehicle sales, with 30,358 units sold. Utility vehicle sales increased by 10% in the month to 30,221 units in comparison to 27,551 units in the same month last year. In addition, the Indian automaker reported 137 unit sales in the car and van sub-segment. Despite industry-wide supply chain disruptions, Mahindra claimed that it was still able to achieve these sales figures. The automaker identified supply chain issues in the procurement of crash sensors and airbag ECUs, which were hampered by a semiconductor shortage.
