<p>Founded in 2005, Renault India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Renault S.A. Renault entered the Indian car market through Mahindra Renault; a joint venture with Mahindra and Mahindra Group and the first and only car launched under this venture was the Logan sedan.</p>

<p>While setting up camp, Renault established its global logistics network in India for supplying spares to its manufacturing facilities around the world. It also opened a bespoke design studio in Mumbai in 2008. Later, Renault ended its alliance with Mahindra in 2010 to form a new alliance with Nissan, resulting in a new manufacturing facility in Chennai, as part of the new venture.</p>

<p>Renault, the French car manufacturer, has its headquarters based in Mumbai.</p>

<p>Starting afresh, Renault launched the Fluence sedan in 2011, which became the first ever Renault car in India, followed by the global debut of the Koleos SUV a few months later. The 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi saw the launch of the new Pulse hatchback and the unveiling of the Duster SUV. The year ended for Renault with the launch of yet another model, the Scala.</p>

<p>Renault’s product line-up for India includes the Duster, Kwid, Lodgy and Captur. The Kwid and Duster have been successful car models by Renault in India, with their entry-level hatchback offering, receiving more than 25,000 bookings within the first few days of its launch. The Duster has also reached the 1 lakh cars milestone, which is quite a feat for the carmaker.</p>

<p>Renault car prices start from around 2.6 lakh rupees for the 2018 Kwid and go up to double-digit figures for rest of the line-up. Renault car price listings can be found on the website of autoX.</p>
