Skoda Kylaq Classic, Signature, Prestige Variants Explained: What's Different?
Skoda will officially launch the Kylaq SUV on December 2, the same day the bookings commence. Customer deliveries will begin next year.
Skoda India unveiled its smallest SUV yet, the Kylaq, last week. At the same time, the Czech brand announced the starting price for our market. That is Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Having said that, Skoda has yet to officially launch the SUV on December 2, the same day the bookings commence. The Kylaq SUV adopts the brand's 'Modern Solid' design language and features a blacked-out butterfly grille, split LED headlamps (with sleek daytime running lamps), 17-inch alloys, and square-ish taillamps with T-shaped lighting signatures. Both bumpers front and rear wear thick cladding. The Kylaq gets door handles and body cladding similar to the Kushaq.
Powering the Kylaq is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic. The engine is tuned to develop 114bhp and 178Nm. 0–100km/h comes up in a claimed time of 10.5 seconds. The same engine is offered in all 4 variants – Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige. Now, let's find out what features are available with each variant:
