Skoda Slavia Classic, Signature, Prestige Variants Explained: Which One Should You Pick?

Skoda Auto launched its Slavia – the successor to the Skoda Rapid – in February 2022 in India. Since then, the Slavia sedan has received special editions (Style edition, Matte edition, Elegance edition, Lava Blue edition) as well as several updates including Skoda offering six airbags across the Slavia range. The variant line-up of the sedan consists of Classic, Signature, and Prestige, corresponding to Active, Ambition, and Style offered previously. With this variant rejig, the Skoda Slavia is now available at a starting price of Rs 10.69 lakh, reflecting a decrease of Rs 94,000. At the top of the heap sits the Prestige variant. That can be had at Rs 18.69 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom.
Like the Skoda Kushaq, the Slavia gets two engine options: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol (114bhp) and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine (148bhp). The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol MT is available with the Classic, while the other two variants (Signature and Prestige) come with a choice of four powertrain options: 1.0 TSI MT, 1.0 TSI AT, 1.5 TSI MT, and 1.5 TSI DSG. With an ARAI-rated 20.32km/l mileage, the 1.0 turbo-petrol MT is the most efficient option, while the 1.0 turbo-petrol AT, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol MT, and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol DCT returns 18.73km/l, 19km/l, and 19.36km/l, respectively.
