Tata Curvv SUV Spotted Testing for First Time in India, Check Details
The Tata Curvv SUV has been spotted testing for the first time on Indian roads. In India, the Tata Curvv with an electric powertrain will reportedly launch in 2024, followed by the ICE-powered variant in 2025.
The Tata Curvv SUV, in its testing phase, has caught market attention ahead of its reported launch next year. The test mule was captured alongside the other test prototypes from the brand, such as of the 2023 Nexon, as well as, the Safari or the Harrier. Despite the heavy camouflage, the test mule gave us a few details about the forthcoming vehicle, such as its coupe-like roofline, similar to the Nexon. The SUV also seems to have an upright front profile, comprising a sweeping bonnet structure, headlamps accommodated in a deep housing, a broad air intake on the bumper, and a front windscreen that is steeply slanted, according to the first set of spy photos. Although there has been no official update, the upcoming SUV will reportedly include LED light bars at the front and rear, LED tail lights, faux skid plates, contrast-colored ORVMs, and more.

Tata Curvv SUV: Powertrain
As mentioned above, Tata Motors will presumably introduce the Curvv, with electric and ICE powertrains, in the compact SUV category next year. There is no word from the homegrown carmaker, but industry reports hint that the forthcoming SUV might get a CNG powertrain.
Moving to the already specified powertrains, the Curvv EV, is expected to come with a dual-motor configuration with an AWD. The ICE-powered Curvv, on the other hand, is anticipated to have a 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine, capable of producing 123bhp and 225Nm. For transmission, it will get both manual and automatic gearboxes.
Tata Curvv: Interior
There are no spy images of the interior, however, assumptions have been made in the industry that the production-spec model will be similar to the concept showcased at this year's Auto Expo. It is expected to sport a fully-digital instrument console, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and more.

Tata Curvv: Launch Timeline
In India, the Curvv EV will likely go on sale next year, followed by the ICE model in 2025. According to market reports, considering how competitive the compact SUV segment is in our market, the coupe-SUV with a unique body type could provide the firm an upper hand over its rivals. Upon launch, the Curvv SUV will rival the likes of the Volkswagen Taigun, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Kia Seltos, and the Hyundai Creta.
