Tata E-Vision concept Preview

The Tata E-Vision Concept is an upcoming electric car that was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018. It is said to be developed on Tata’s new Impact 2.0 design philosophy, becoming a modern EV. The car is expected to be performance-oriented along with a minimalistic yet striking design.

The first quarter of 2018 had been all about different concepts from Tata Motors. It started at the Auto Expo 2018, with the official unveiling of the 45X and the H5X. And then it was soon followed by the E-Vision concept at the Geneva Motor Show.

Below is an overview of the anticipated features and specifications of this Tata Car.

Tata E-Vision Concept Engine and Other Specifications

As of now, there’s no information about the powertrain options that this Tata offering will come with. However, it’s safe to assume that the car will be built on Tata’s Omega platform developed for EVs. Tata claims that the E-Vision will be offered in both slow-charging and fast-charging options. Having said that, Tata did reveal that the car would achieve a 0 – 100km/h acceleration in under 7 seconds. The top speed has also been claimed to be nearly 200km/h.

Tata Motors seems to have its eyes set on the future, as it claims to equip this EV with several connected car technologies. The E-Vision Concept is said to have a lot of features to flaunt, including cloud computing and geo-spatial mapping. It might also include live traffic update features and predictive energy management systems.

The car’s suspension system shall be engineered by integrating advanced technology and an adaptive damping system with real-time adjustability. The EV should further boast all alloy wheels and high-performance brake components to ensure safety and precise control. A regenerative braking technology for energy efficiency can also be expected.

Tata E-Vision Concept Exterior

Looking at the available pictures, it is evident that the new design language endows this sedan with sharp and futuristic elements. The Sanand-based car maker has further improved on the humanity line, and it now comes finished in brushed aluminium. It enhances the appeal of the front grille and the headlights of this upcoming Tata car. At the back, the taillights are sleek and stretched apart, giving it a wider stance. In profile too, the E-Vision concept looks sharper than anything that we’ve seen so far from the stables of Tata. The bonnet flows smoothly into the front windshield, from which it continues to the roof, blending into a coupe-like rear.

Tata E-Vision Concept Interior

The E-Vision concept interior is also reported to be equally sleek and futuristic. Tata is expected to fit the E-Vision with a floating centre console. The central infotainment system shall be hidden inside the dash, giving it a spacious feel. Furthermore, the rear bench would be fully adjustable and add to the comfort factor of the passengers. The cabin shall also be furnished with several contemporary features such as ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charger, etc.

Tata E-Vision Concept Safety Features

On the safety front, this Tata Sedan is sure to come with sufficient features and technologies. This manufacturer also builds such structures which add to the safety of the occupants. Besides, this electric car shall encompass a number of airbags, warning signals, and several driver assistance systems, ensuring safety.
