Toyota Hyryder SUV Waiting Period Reaches up to 10 Months in India
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is currently available in four different variants: E, S, G, and V. The price of the car ranges from Rs 11.14 lakh to Rs 20.19 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
As of March 2024, the waiting period for several Toyota models has been revised. Speaking of one of the best-selling models from the brand, the Hyryder SUV, its Neo Drive (mild hybrid) variant, commands a waiting period of up to 10 months (39 weeks). Interested customers who opt for the strong-hybrid and CNG versions, on the other hand, will have to wait up to 4 months (17 weeks) and 8 months (30 weeks), respectively. In February, the CNG version of the car saw a waiting period of up to 14 months (56 weeks).
For the uninitiated, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder is currently available in four different variants: E, S, G, and V. The price of the car ranges from Rs 11.14 lakh to Rs 20.19 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. Interested buyers can choose from a variety of available exterior colour shades, including seven monotone and four dual-tone options. These are Cafe White with Midnight Black, Sportin' Red with Midnight Black, Enticing Silver with Midnight Black, Speedy Blue with Midnight Black, and Gaming Grey with Midnight Black.

The Baleno and the Glanza dashboards are identical to that of the Toyota Hyryder. The powerful hybrid model's cabin is decorated in black and brown, whereas the inside of the mild hybrid versions is all-black. Standard amenities include ventilated front seats, paddle shifters, ambient lighting, smartphone and smartwatch connectivity, and a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system. There's also a heads-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless phone charging.
The SUV further has a plethora of safety features, such as vehicle stability control, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, a TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), and up to six airbags.

The Toyota SUV's 1.5-litre TNGA Atkinson Cycle engine cranks out a maximum power output of 92bhp and 122Nm of peak torque when mated to an eCVT transmission. Together, the engine and electric motor generate 114bhp, with the motor contributing 79bhp along with 141Nm of torque. The manufacturer claims that the potent hybrid drivetrain offers a fuel efficiency of 27.97km/l. Notably, a 117.6V lithium-ion battery powers the setup. A mild hybrid drivetrain is another option for the Hyryder. It shares the same 1.5-litre K15C engine as the Ertiga and the Brezza. The Neo Drive motor can be coupled with either the six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox or the five-speed manual gearbox. This results in a maximum output of 103bhp and 137Nm of peak torque.

On the design front, the elegant double-layer Daytime Running lights integrated into the Crystal Acrylic grille make the well-liked Toyota car stand out in terms of appearance. The model boasts a typical SUV appearance from the side, with prominent hybrid emblems on the doors. On top of that, it has sleek C-shaped taillights with two C-shaped LED components on the back.
