Toyota Hyryder Waiting Period Reaches up to 14 Months in India
In India, Toyota sells the Hyryder in four different variants: E, S, G, and V. Besides, customers can choose from a variety of colour options, including seven monotone shades and four dual-tone ones.
The waiting duration for cars manufactured by Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has been revised for this month. The SUV has been one of the major sales drivers for the firm along with other models such as the Innova Hycross and the Innova Crysta. Therefore, it generally commands a significantly lengthy waiting duration. There are nine models with a waiting period this month out of the 11 that the company currently sells in the domestic market. Right now, there is a 14-month (56 weeks) long waiting period for the CNG version of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Meanwhile, customers who wish to reserve the mild-hybrid Neo Drive models may have to wait up to 10 months (39 weeks), whereas those reserving the strong-hybrid variants may have to see a 6-month (22 weeks) delay. For those unaware, the wait time for the mid-size SUV was decreased to 15 months (60 weeks) in January.
Toyota Hyryder: Engine Options
The midsize SUV has three different powerplant options under the hood. First up is a 1.5-litre TNGA Atkinson Cycle engine that produces 92bhp and 122Nm of peak torque when coupled to an eCVT. The mill puts out 114bhp of maximum power when paired with the 79bhp electric motor. According to Toyota, this robust hybrid system has a fuel efficiency of 27.97km/l and is powered by a 117.6V lithium-ion battery. The second is a mild hybrid system that includes a motor known as "Neo Drive" in addition to the 1.5-litre K15C engine that drives the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Either a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox or a 5-speed manual gearbox is coupled to this unit. The third is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that can be paired with a manual gearbox. The last option is available with the base-spec variants.

Some of these include Cafe White with Midnight Black, Sportin' Red with Midnight Black, Enticing Silver with Midnight Black, Speedy Blue with Midnight Black, and Gaming Grey with Midnight Black.

As far as the interior layout is concerned, the powerful hybrid Hyryder features a Black and Brown theme, while the mild hybrid variations can be had with a Black theme. A 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, paddle shifters, ambient lighting, smartphone and smartwatch connectivity, and ventilated front seats are standard features of the vehicle. Moreover, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, and a heads-up display are also included. The SUV is equipped with up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, a TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), vehicle stability control, and other safety features.

Speaking of the design, the elegant double-layer Daytime Running lights integrated into the Crystal Acrylic grille make the well-liked Toyota car stand out in terms of appearance. The vehicle has a typical SUV appearance from the side, with prominent hybrid emblems on the doors. It further sports slender C-shaped taillights with two C-shaped LED components on the back.
In India, the Hyryder SUV competes against the Hyundai Creta, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Kia Seltos, the Honda Elevate, the Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, the Volkswagen Taigun, and the Citroen C3 Aircross.
