Toyota Hyryder Waiting Period Now Stands at 15 Months in India

The waiting period commanded by the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder in India continues to be extremely long, even though the SUV has been available for purchase since August 2022. Compared to the petrol variant, the demand for the CNG model remains strong. There is a maximum waiting period of up to 15 months (60 weeks) for the CNG versions of the Hyryder. The waiting duration for the hybrid and neo-drive versions, however, stands at 20 weeks and 36 weeks, respectively. It should be noted that this time frame may vary depending on the region, dealership, models, and colour options, among other factors. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder: Powertrain Options
The 1.5-litre TNGA Atkinson Cycle engine in the Toyota SUV is coupled to an eCVT transmission and delivers a maximum power output of 92bhp and 122Nm of torque. The engine and electric motor together provide 114bhp of power output, with the electric motor producing 79bhp and 141Nm of torque. The powerful hybrid drivetrain has a fuel efficiency of 27.97km/l, according to the manufacturer.
The system is powered by a 117.6V lithium-ion battery. The Hyryder can also be equipped with a mild hybrid drivetrain. It comes with the same 1.5-litre K15C engine as the Brezza and the Ertiga. Both the six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and the five-speed manual gearbox are compatible with the Neo Drive motor. It has a maximum power output of 103bhp and a peak torque of 137Nm.

The dashboard of the Toyota Hyryder is the same as that of the Baleno and Glanza. The interior of the mild-hybrid models is all black, whereas the cabin of the powerful hybrid model is themed in black and brown. A 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, smartphone and smartwatch connectivity, ventilated front seats, and paddle shifters are standard features. Wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, and a heads-up display are also included. Furthermore, the SUV has numerous safety features, including ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, a TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), vehicle stability control, and up to six airbags.
