Toyota Taisor MPV Waiting Period Goes Down to 4 Weeks in India
As of July, the Toyota Taisor has a waiting period of up to one month (4 weeks) starting on the booking date. The mentioned timeframe is constant across the country and will vary depending on factors like the colour option, variant, and region.
With an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.74 lakh, Toyota rolled out the Taisor MPV for the Indian market in April this year. The crossover is available in five colour options: Cafe White, Lucent Orange, Sportin Red, Enticing Silver, and Gaming Grey. The first three colours are offered with a blacked-out roof. However, the dual-tone combination is only available with the top-of-the-line V model. Moreover, there are five variants to choose from: E, S, S+, G, and V.
As of this month, the Toyota Taisor has a waiting period of up to one month (4 weeks), which varies depending on factors like the colour option, variant, and region. For reference, the waiting period for the Taisor was 2 months (8 weeks) in June.
Toyota Taisor MPV: Design
With minor cosmetic changes, like a modified front bumper, new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and a redesigned trapezoidal grille with a honeycomb pattern, the Taisor is essentially a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Fronx. The Japanese carmaker provides an extensive selection of accessories, including window sunshades, door visors, garnishes, and spoilers, with the Taisor.
Toyota Taisor MPV: Powertrain Options
The Urban Cruiser Taisor is offered with the same engine options as the Fronx: a 1.2-litre four-cylinder K-series petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit. The former produces 88.5bhp of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque, while the latter generates 98.6bhp of power and 147.6Nm of maximum torque. A CNG variant (76.44bhp and 98.5Nm) is also on offer. The gearbox options include a five-speed AMT, a five-speed manual, and a six-speed torque converter automatic.

The Urban Cruiser Taisor comes with a wide variety of features, such as a heads-up display, cruise control, wireless phone charging, an infotainment system with a nine-inch touchscreen, ABS with EBD, up to six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, automated climate control, and a 360-degree camera.

Toyota Taisor MPV: Price and Competitors
In the Indian market, the price of the sub-4m SUV ranges between Rs 7.74 lakh and Rs 13.04 lakh. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. In terms of market rivalry, the Toyota model goes up against the likes of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Tata Nexon, and Hyundai Venue.
