Toyota Yaris launched at Rs 8.75 lakh
Toyota has launched the Yaris mid-size saloon in India. Prices for the car range from Rs 8.75 lakh - Rs 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). At this price, the Yaris is the most expensive car in its segment.

Toyota has launched the Yaris, a mid-size saloon, in India. Prices for the car range from Rs. 8.75 lakh to Rs. 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Deliveries of the car will commence next month.
The car adopts its variant nomenclature from the bigger Corolla Altis. Which means that the four variants of the are J (base), G, V and VX (top-end) . Also, the CVT automatic option is offered on all four variants, which is a segment first.
Coming to its features, the Yaris is rather well equipped for a mid-sizer – seven airbags, projector headlamps and cooled glovebox are standard across all variants. Furthermore, features like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and passive entry with push-button start, which are generally reserved for the top-spec variants, come standard on the second from G variant onwards.
The only engine option on the Yaris is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 106bhp and 140Nm. A 7-step CVT is offered on all variants alongside the standard 6-speed manual transmission. Toyota has decided against the launch a diesel engine option in the Yaris.
