Regarding market competitors, the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 takes on the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Yamaha MT-15, KTM 250 Duke, and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
With the launch of the redesigned Pulsar N250 for the 2024 model year, Bajaj Auto has given the flagship naked Pulsar several enhancements, including new hardware and contemporary technological features. The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250's ex-showroom price of Rs 1.51 lakh indicates that there has been a marginal increase of Rs 851 in the asking price. As far as the updates are concerned, the Pulsar N-Series now houses a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity for the 2024 N250. Compared to the part-analogue unit on the previous model, the new LCD console is a considerable modification. Like the recently released Pulsar N150 and N160, the new instrument cluster adds features including a digital tachometer, various trip meters, a distance to empty indicator, and a gear position indicator. These features give the motorcycle an advantage over other 250cc offerings and put it up to par with multiple premium motorcycles. Here's everything else you need to know about the new Bajaj model.
Bajaj Pulsar N250: Important Updates
The Bajaj Pulsar N250 receives upgrades such as an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for phone calls, SMS alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. Along with other standard data, it displays the mileage readouts, speedometer, odometer, and distance to empty. Apart from this, the revised bike has a 37mm inverted fork, a notable change over the telescopic fork arrangement on the previous model. It is expected to improve the bike's handling. Furthermore, the upgraded bike has 110-section front and 140-section rear tyres instead of the original arrangement of 100-section front and 130-section rear tyres with 17-inch wheels.
Other feature updates include ride modes (rain, road, and off-road), switchable traction control, and ABS modes. For those unaware, on/off-road mode is an off-road mode that reduces the rear ABS. Notably, the traction control is deactivated only in this mode. For added safety, the maximum ABS intervention is there in the rain mode. Meanwhile, the wheelbase has been trimmed to 1,342mm, which is 9mm shorter than the outgoing model. The seat height has also been raised to 800mm, or 5mm higher, and the kerb weight has gone up to 164kg, an increase of 2kg.
Bajaj Pulsar N250: Engine Specs
The bike retains its mechanical components in the form of the 249cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine. The motor churns out 24.1bhp of maximum power at 8,750rpm and 21.5Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. On the transmission front, it is mated to a five-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. A monoshock rounds out the suspension system and dual-channel ABS is standard on the 300mm front disc and 230mm rear disc brakes that handle stopping power. With a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres, it has 165mm of ground clearance.
Bajaj Pulsar N250: Price and Competitors
Relatively speaking, the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 costs just Rs 851 more than the outgoing model, at Rs 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom). It has got new paint job options in the form of red, black, and white shades. Regarding market competitors, the bike takes on the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Yamaha MT-15, KTM 250 Duke, and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
