Bajaj Auto has launched its most powerful Pulsar, the NS400Z, in India, with an introductory price of Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The naked street bike is available in four different colours: Glossy Racing Red, Pewter Grey, Metallic Pearl White, and Brooklyn Black. It adheres to the NS family's design while incorporating certain contemporary elements. The bike is equipped with an LED projector headlight with lightning bolt-shaped LED DRLs, LED turn signals, an underbelly exhaust, and a gold-coated USD fork. It has the same fuel tank as the Pulsar NS200, with larger, and more muscular extensions.
The Pulsar's most powerful version comes with a sharp tail section, split grab handle, and split seat configuration, comparable to the NS200. Let's check out other specifications of the bike if you plan on buying one soon.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: Engine on Duty
The heart of the biggest Pulsar is the same 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is found in the Bajaj Dominar 400 and the KTM RC 390. It generates 39.4bhp at 8,800rpm and 35Nm at 6,5000rpm in the NS400Z, mated to a 6-speed unit with a slip-and-assist clutch. The top speed stands at 154km/h. The NS400Z weighs 174 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. Its seat height stands at 805mm.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: Hardware
The bike has a gas-charged monoshock and a 43mm inverted fork with a gold finish. It comes with a box-section swingarm rather than the Dominar 400's aluminum unit. The anchoring system consists of a 320mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the back. The streetfighter features 17-inch alloy wheels and dual-channel ABS as standard.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: Features
The NS400Z's feature list is extensive, including four riding modes (road, rain, sport, and off-road), a colour LCD with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and a lap timer. The instrument cluster includes a gear position indicator, a large speedometer display, a bar-type fuel gauge, a tachometer, and a smaller section for odometer and trip meter readings. Other notable bits include switchable traction control and 5-step adjustable levers.
