Benelli, for the third time this year, has announced a price hike for the TRK 251, TRK 502 and the TRK 502X in India. The new price hike falls in the range of Rs 9,000 and Rs 20,000 in India.
Benelli has once again revised the prices of the TRK 251, TRK 502 and TRK 502X in India. This comes as the third price hike that the manufacturer has announced this year.
Benelli has once again revised the prices of the TRK 251 and the TRK 502 in India. The latest one comes as the third price hike this year. Models including the TRK 251, TRK 502 and the TRK 502X have been subjected to a price hike of up to Rs 20,000.
The brand’s quarter-litre offering, which rivals prominent players like the KTM 250 Adventure is now available from Rs 2.73 lakh (ex-showroom), a departure from its previous price tag of Rs 2.64 lakh (ex-showroom). Similarly, the TRK 502 which was previously priced from Rs 5.24 lakh has become dearer by Rs 18,000 at Rs 5.42 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to this, the top-rung TRK 502X, which previously started at Rs 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom), now starts at a premium of Rs 20,000 at Rs 5.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Benelli TRK 251 operates in the up-and-coming quarter-litre adventure motorcycle segment in India, rivalling the likes of KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the BMW G 310 GS. The motorcycle gets a decent feature list in the form of full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a dual-channel ABS.
In terms of mechanicals, the TRK 251 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motor outputs 25.4bhp at 9,250rpm and 21.1Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.
The TRK 501, on the other hand, operates in the middle-weight adventure touring segment and comes with a 500cc two-cylinder, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor that is capable of putting out 46.8bhp at 8500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm. In terms of features, the motorcycle gets backlit switchgear, aluminium frame knuckle guards, new handlebar grips as well as larger mirrors. The instrument panel sports a new layout with an orange back lighting accompanied by an analogue tachometer.
