CFMoto 250 CL-X scrambler breaks cover
CFMoto has taken the wraps off its new scrambler, the 250 CL-X. The styling and design are heavily based on the 700 CL-X, whereas, the heart of the motorcycle has been borrowed from the 250NK.

CFMoto has revealed the 250 CL-X, which is a quarter-litre scrambler motorcycle. So far, there is no confirmation from the manufacturer’s end about bringing the new 250cc scrambler to India; however, if the brand plans on doing so, the 250 CL-X will be positioned alongside the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, the Yezdi Scrambler, the Honda CB350RS, and the upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 411.
Speaking of the 250 CL-X, the motorcycle features a 249cc liquid-cooled unit, which produces 27.6bhp and 22Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, which packs a slipper clutch.
The motorcycle is equipped with 17-inch wheels on both ends, and the suspension setup appears more road-biased, which is very unlikely for a scrambler. The motorcycle tips the scale at 155kgs.
The overall styling of the 250 CL-X is very much based on the CFMoto 700 CL-X, which is a middle-weight scrambler on sale overseas. The headlamp is circular, with X-shaped DRLs surrounding it. The handlebar is set up higher and wider, which is likely to offer a relaxed rider’s triangle. The seat of the bike is a single-piece unit, with a slightly raised seating position for the pillion passenger.
CFMoto is yet to announce the price of the 250CL-X even in the international market. That being said, there are good odds that CFMoto will launch the CL-X in India but with a 300cc engine. The power plant and most underpinnings could be borrowed from the CFMoto 300NK, which is already on sale in India.
