The Indian arm of the Bologna brand has introduced the new Diavel V4 in the country at Rs 25.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike is propelled by a potent 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine from a Ducati Multistrada V4 that has been adjusted to yield 166bhp and 126Nm. It sports a bi-directional quickshifter and a 6-speed transmission. Aside from the addition of a more robust V4 engine, the all-new motorcycle features improvements to its chassis and suspension.
The new motorbike has ditched the Diavel's old steel trellis frame for the monocoque structure made out of aluminium. The swingarm, though, continues to be built of single-sided cast aluminium, and the rear subframe is also a steel trellis structure. Furthermore, the suspension is taken care of by a monoshock with 145mm of travel in the back and a 50mm USD fork with 120mm of travel in the front. Both are fully adjustable. Compared to the Diavel 1260, the travel is now 15mm longer.
