Hero 2.5R Xtunt Based Motorcycle: Key Details
Hero MotorCorp is steadily expanding its selection of premium motorcycles in the Indian market, including models such as the Karizma XMR and Mavrick 440. The company is now looking to introduce new 250cc models. Recent patent leaks suggest that one of these bikes will draw inspiration from the Hero 2.5R Xtunt concept, showcased at last year's edition of the EICMA.
Earlier, a design patent for the Hero Karizma 250 was revealed. The latest design seems to be a naked version of this model, featuring a distinctly sharp and aggressive headlight. The fuel tank also showcases bold lines and shrouds that align with the headlamp cowl's design, enhancing the bike's overall aesthetic. The sleek design complements the split-seat layout of the motorcycle. It is designed with a low handlebar and footpegs, positioned towards the rear to deliver a sporty riding position. Furthermore, the bike may incorporate a radiator grille and an upward-angled exhaust.
The motorcycle’s striking design is expected to be supported by a new 250cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which may be the same as that used in the Karizma 250. However, detailed specifications for this engine have not yet been released. It is important to highlight that the existing Karizma XMR is powered by a 210cc engine, putting out 25bhp of maximum power and 20Nm of peak torque. Additionally, the Hero 2.5R Xtunt concept bike seems to utilise similar components as the Karizma XMR, likely including alloy wheels of comparable size, upside-down forks, and a tubular steel frame.
