Hero Mavrick 440: Powertrain
Powering the Hero Mavrick 440 is a 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that gets a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. While both the Hero Mavrick 440 and the Harley-Davidson X 440 use the same powertrain and are equally powerful (27bhp at 6,000rpm), the former produces 36Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm, which is 2Nm lower than that of the latter (38Nm at 4,000rpm).
Hero Mavrick 440: Hardware
Hardware-wise, the bike uses a trellis frame, suspended by a 43mm telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. A 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc perform the braking duties. Unlike the X 440's 100/90-18 and 140/70-17 setup, the Mavrick 440 comes with 17-inch wheels (spoked or alloy) wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres.
Hero Mavrick 440: Features
In terms of features, the Hero Mavrick 440 is equipped with an LCD screen with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and message alerts, depending on the variant selected. The left side is circular and displays information regarding speed, revolutions per minute, gear position, and indicator lights, while the right side is rectangular and shows data about navigation and notifications. Other bits are full LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and a USB-C charging port.
Hero Mavrick 440: Rivals
At its price point, the Hero Mavrick has rivals in the form of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 (Rs 1.74 lakh to Rs 2.16 lakh), Honda CB350 (Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.18 lakh), and Jawa 350 (Rs 2.15 lakh).
