Hero Super Splendor Black and Accent launched in India at Rs 77,430
All the changes in the new editions are only on a cosmetic level. The Black and the Accent editions of the Hero Super Splendor come in drum as well as disc variants. Here's everything you need to know about the motorcycle.
The Super Splendor, with Black and Accent colour schemes, retains the core mechanicals and comes with some cosmetic tweaks.
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Super Splendor in India. The motorcycle comes in two colour options – Black and Accent – and is available at a starting price of Rs 77,430. The Super Splendor will be available with both drum and disc brake options. Bookings for the bike have already opened on the company’s official website.
The Black paint scheme variant comes with chrome Super Splendor badging on the fuel tank. You will also find ample use of chrome near the headlight and the exhaust heat shield. While the changes are only cosmetic, the bike retains the overall design of the standard model, which means that it continues to have a single-pod headlight, a tinted visor, a single-piece seat, alloy wheels, and a side-slung exhaust.
The Hero Super Splendor remains the same in terms of mechanicals as well. Powering the two new editions is a 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which makes 10.7bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The bike also continues with the cycle parts of the standard model. Up front, you get telescopic front forks along with a five-step adjustable rear spring at the back.
In terms of braking, the motorcycle gets 130mm drum brakes for both wheels. The disc brake version, on the other hand, gets a 240mm rotor at the front. The safety features on all variants include a combined braking system.
