Honda Dio 125 Launched in India at Rs 83,400, Gets H-Smart Tech
With the launch of the brand-new Dio 125, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has broadened the range of its scooter lineup. A starting price of Rs 83,400, ex-showroom Delhi, has been set for the new Honda Dio 125 in India.

A starting price of Rs 83,400, ex-showroom Delhi, has been set for the new Honda Dio 125 in India. Following the Activa 125 and the Grazia, this is the manufacturer's third 125cc scooter to go on sale in the country. The new Dio 125 is being offered in two versions: Standard and Smart, with an ex-showroom price ranging from Rs 83,400 for the Standard version to Rs 91,300 for the Smart variant. On the Dio 125, Honda is also providing a unique 10-year warranty package (3 years standard + 7 years optional extended warranty). Further, the scooter is currently available for reservations, and deliveries are expected to begin shortly across India.

Honda Dio 125: Styling and Colour Options
Bold design elements on the Dio 125 are among the stylistic characteristics that are identical to the 110cc Honda Dio. This includes a split-style pillion grabrail, a twin outlet exhaust with a heat shield, an apron-mounted headlamp, front turn indicators, and sharp body panels. The panels and components are unchanged. New, modern graphics and an appealing logo fit well with this style. Seven different options are available in the colour palette: Sports Red, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Deep Ground Grey Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue Metallic, and Matte Deep Ground Grey Metallic.
Honda Dio 125: Mechanical Details
A 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, OBD2-compliant engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) propells the new Honda Dio 125. A Honda ACG starter, increased tumble flow, reduced friction, and enhanced combustion, and solenoid valves are further advantages for this engine. Additionally, the producer has not yet disclosed the Dio 125's power and torque output numbers. For comparison, the current Honda Grazia 125's 125cc engine produces a maximum power output of 8.14bhp and a peak torque output of 10.4Nm.
Honda Dio 125: Feature Set
The Honda Dio 125 is equipped with H-Smart technology, which includes a smart key with four features: Smart Find, Smart Unlock, Smart Safe, and Smart Start. According to what its names indicate, the smart key can assist you to locate your scooter in a parking lot, it can be locked and unlocked without using a key, and if it is within two metres of the scooter, the rider can start the scooter by simply turning the knob on the multi-function key system on the dash. Further features on the bike include a fresh, fully digital instrument console that displays speed, and real-time data for fuel economy and range, as well as the customary warning lights, trip meter, and clock, among the other highlights. The scooter also has an idle start-stop function and Honda's Combi-braking system (CBS).
Honda Dio 125: Hardware Components
Telescopic front forks and a single rear spring with preload adjustment are both parts of the suspension system on all versions. The Smart variation has a petal-style front disc brake, whilst the regular model has drum brakes as its braking system. Also, each variation has a front pocket and 18-litre under-seat storage. The Dio 125 has a substantial 171mm of ground clearance and the 12-inch front wheel and 10-inch rear wheel of the scooter are still present. Both of them are alloy, like all other Honda scooters now for sale.
Honda Dio 125: Competition Check
The asking price of the Honda Dio 125 in its standard configuration is Rs 83,400, while the cost of the Smart variant stands at Rs 91,300. Both prices are ex-showroom. Other 125cc scooters including the Suzuki Avenis, the Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi-Hybrid, the Hero Maestro Edge 125, and the TVS Ntorq 125 are some of its market competitors. The Dio 125 is more affordable than its Japanese rivals at this price and includes a disc brake as standard equipment.
