The Dio H-Smart will replace the existing top-spec model in the Dio lineup and comes with a price tag of Rs 77,712 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it the third scooter from Honda to feature a smart key, following the Activa and Activa 125. While the official website doesn't provide detailed information about the specific features of the new Dio H-Smart, it is expected to offer comparable technology to the Activa H-Smart. Alongside the introduction of the Dio H-Smart, Honda has also increased the prices of the current Dio models. The Standard OBD2 trim is now priced at Rs 70,211, while the Deluxe OBD2 version costs Rs 74,212 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). For those unaware, the two-wheeler giant is now accepting bookings for the new H-smart variant.
Honda Dio H-Smart: What's New?
The automaker has not revealed any specifics regarding the Dio H-Smart; however, it is expected to possess the same features as the Activa. It will be equipped with a smart key system, which includes Smart Find, Smart Unlock, Smart Start, and Smart Safe features. The addition of a smart key brings a number of cutting-edge functions. The Anti-theft system is one such feature, which engages the immobiliser when the smart key leaves the scooter's 2-metre range. The handle, fuel cap, and seat can all be unlocked when the key is nearby. The rider only needs to press and move the rotary knob while staying within the required range to start the scooter. Simply pushing the start/stop switch will start the engine.
