Kawasaki India has just launched the Ninja ZX-6R, their newest motorcycle, to the Indian market. It is priced at Rs 11.09 lakh (ex-showroom). This 2024 model, which debuted at EICMA 2023 and was shown at December's India Bike Week 2023, has new looks, better mechanics, and cutting-edge tech. The most noticeable changes are the updated fairing and reworked front fascia, which now has a new cowl, LED headlights, and turn signals. This motorcycle is powered by a new version of the inline-four engine that has a capacity of 636cc. Lime Green and Metallic Graphite Grey are two of the colour options available for the ZX-6R.

The updated ZX-6R features a completely redesigned appearance, with new headlamps that strengthen its defined and edgy presence. Its signature Ninja series taillight is prominently displayed at the back. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: Engine
The powertrain of the ZX-6R comes with a 636 cc liquid-cooled, inline-four engine that has undergone a thorough set of mechanical upgrades. These improvements include new exhaust headers, a redesigned exhaust system, and an updated cam profile. Although there have been minor decreases in comparison to the previous model, the new engine provides a commendable 122.3bhp and 69Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. According to Kawasaki, the new Ninja ZX-6R comes with an assist and slipper clutch, along with a quick-shifter, which allows for smooth acceleration by enabling fast, full-power upshifts.
The motorcycle features a 41 mm Showa inverted fork suspension system at the front and a bottom-link Uni-Trak monoshock suspension unit at the rear. The adjustable ends of the system enable riders to personalise the preload, compression, and rebound damping settings to their preference.

The braking system consists of two semi-floating 310mm discs with 4-piston callipers in the front and one 220mm petal disc with a single-piston calliper in the rear. The braking system is enhanced by the inclusion of the Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Brake System (KIBS) ABS. The motorcycle is equipped with supplementary rider aids such as traction control, a slipper clutch, and a quick shifter.
In the Indian market, the Kawasaki ZX-6R faces competition from formidable rivals such as the Honda CBR 650R and Aprilia RS660.
