Ola Electric Motorcycles Launched in India, Roadster Series Debuts Major New Tech Starting from Rs 75,000
Ola has revealed its Roadster series at its flagship event, Sankalp 2024. The pricing of the Ola Roadster series starts at Rs 75,000 for the 2.5kWh Roadster X model and goes up to Rs 2.50 lakh for the range-topping 16kWh Roadster Pro.
Almost two months ago, Ola Electric said it would launch its first electric motorcycle in the first half of the financial year 2026. And this was followed by a couple of teasers. Fast forward to today, and Ola has revealed its Roadster series at its flagship event, Sankalp 2024. With this, Ola Electric – which is India's first listed EV company and the world's largest two-wheeler EV company – has officially announced its entry into the mass-market and premium segments. Last year in August, Ola showcased its four futuristic electric motorcycle concepts: Adventure, Roadster, Cruiser, and the futuristic-looking Diamondhead.
Based on the Roadster concept previewed in 2023, the Roadster series sits on the advanced Gen 3 platform and uses made-in-India 4680-format cells, touted as BharatCell. The pricing of the Roadster series – consisting of the Roadster, Pro, and the X – starts at Rs 75,000 for the 2.5kWh Roadster X model and goes up to Rs 2.50 lakh for the range-topping 16kWh Roadster Pro. All prices are ex-showroom. Bookings for the models are now open, while deliveries will begin in Q4 FY25.

Ola Roadster X: Specifications
Starting with the Roadster X, is the most affordable bike in the Roadster series, with prices ranging from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom. It comes with three battery options, ranging from 2.5kWh to 4.5kWh. In terms of performance, the motorcycle mated to a liquid-cooled motor makes 15bhp, resulting in a 0 to 40km/h acceleration time of 2.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 124km/h. The motorcycle yields a claimed range of 200km on a single charge.
Visual elements on the bike include an LED headlamp setup, a horizontal daytime running light, twin-shock suspension, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Complementing these elements is a 4.3-inch LCD screen.
Ola Roadster: Specifications
The Ola Roadster falls between Rs 1.05 lakh and Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The battery options on offer are 3.5kWh, 4.5kWh, and 6kWh. The 0 to 40km/h acceleration time comes up in 2.2 seconds, while the top speed is rated at 126km/h. The bike gets more power and better range – 17bhp and 248km, respectively.
The front fascia of the bike is marked by a futuristic LED projector headlamp design, an aluminium subframe, and diamond-cut alloys, while the display here is a 7.0-inch TFT unit.
Ola Roadster Pro: Specifications
The Ola Roadster Pro comes in two configurations – 8kWh and 16kWh. The former is priced at Rs 2 lakh, while the latter sets you back by Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Of the three bikes, the Pro is the fastest in terms of acceleration – it can go from 0 to 40km/h in 1.2 seconds before topping out at 194km/h. It is also the most powerful bike in the line-up with 70bhp and 105Nm of torque. The range figure is said to be 579km. The motorcycle gets an upside-down front fork, a 10.0-inch TFT display, ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) tech, and four ride modes (Hyper, Sport, Normal and Eco). Two customisable modes are on offer as well.

Alongside the hardware products, Ola has also introduced MoveOS 5, the company's biggest and newest software update for electric vehicles, while Ola Maps will now offer a Group Navigation feature. Ola also says that its own AI, Krutrim AI, will be available on the Ola scooters.
