Ola Electric Three New Motorcycles Design Patent Leaked Ahead of India Launch
The design patent of Ola Electric's three motorcycles has leaked online, giving some specifics about their appearance. Let's look at what these new electric bikes may offer potential customers in India.
Ola Electric is a dominant player in India's electric scooter market. It plans to join the lucrative motorcycle industry with four new models, which made their debut as concepts in 2023. Although there is no confirmation, the production versions of these concepts, named the Ola Diamondhead, Adventure, Cruiser, and Roadster, are expected to hit Indian roads by the end of 2024. However, before that, the design patents for the three bikes have recently appeared online. It's important to keep in mind that it's currently unknown if these patent images are based on the above-mentioned concepts or something entirely different.

Design Patents: Key Highlights
The first bike's styling is practical and seems to be inspired by Ola's muscular roadster concept that debuted last year. It boasts sharp creases and an angular form. The bike is equipped with two shock absorbers at the back, a box-section swingarm, and a hub-mounted engine. Its alloy wheel design is in line with the majority of entry-level commuter bikes (100cc to 110cc). Another interesting element of the practical bike is its single-piece handlebar, which is easy to reach. The motorcycle also includes slender tyres, all-LED lighting, and a front disc and rear drum braking setup.
The second and third bikes also seem to share aesthetics with the Roadster concept. Unlike the first bike, the design patents for the other two motorcycles exude a sportier appeal. Both bikes have the same design and equipment, including the powertrain, suspension, wheels, and seats. However, the difference can be seen in ergonomics such as handlebars, seat design, and headlights.
