Royal Enfield Scram 411 to be revealed on March 7

Royal Enfield will start 2022 with the introduction of its new Scrambler. The Scram 411, which is a Himalayan based scrambler, will rival the newly launched Yezdi Scrambler.

The new Royal Enfield Scram 411 is all set to be unveiled on March 7, 2022. While the scrambler will be positioned as a new motorcycle, it is essentially a toned-down Himalayan. The Scram 411 will be thoroughly based on the Himalayan, but it will lose the visor, front metal brace, and 21-inch front wheel, instead of which the Scram 411 will feature a 19-inch wheel;  the rear wheel, however, will be the same as the Himalayan. The tyres on offer will be the same dual-purpose, which are already on offer with the Himalayan.

The instrument cluster will also be the same, and the overall layout of the dashboard of the Scram will be familiar as well. The tank, seat, and panel designs will be carried over too.

It is too soon to confirm if the Scram 411 will have the same suspension geometry as the Himalayan; however, with a relatively smaller front wheel, Royal Enfield is likely to retune the suspension while keeping the suspension hardware the same.

It will be powered by an oil-and-air-cooled 410cc single-cylinder engine. The power output will be close to 25bhp and 32Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission. It's also likely that Royal Enfield has tweaked the final-drive ratio.

The new Royal Enfield Scram 411 will directly rival the newly launched Yezdi Scrambler. In terms of pricing, the Scram 411 is likely to be positioned slightly under the price of the Himalayan, which is Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
