Tork Kratos R Gets New Eco Mode Which Extends Range up to 180 Km
A brand-new Eco+ ride mode has been added to Tork Motors' flagship e-bike, the Kratos R. With this new mode, riders may travel more than 150-kilometre on a single charge. Notably, the top speed of the bike in Eco+ mode is limited to 35km/h, making the model suitable for city riding conditions.
Tork Motors, the Indian EV manufacturer, has recently introduced a new riding mode in its flagship electric motorcycle, the Kratos R. With this addition, the firm claims that the Kratos R will now have a longer battery life. Apart from this, by using the e-bike's Eco+ mode, Kratos R owners, both new and old, can now get more than 150-kilometre of range on a single charge. This is significantly closer to the model's IDC-claimed range of 180-kilometre and substantially greater than the prior range of 120-kilometre. In addition to the Eco+ mode, the Kratos R also offers three other modes- Eco, City, and Sport. Also on offer is an additional reverse mode to ensure hassle-free parking. It is further important to note that the top speed of the bike when in Eco+ mode, is restricted to 35km/h. This makes the bike suitable for city riding conditions.
Speaking about the newly added feature, Kapil Shelke, Founder and CEO, of Tork Motors said, “The addition of ECO+ mode comes as a result of an ask from our customers. People riding in the city demanded more range in certain riding conditions while having the option to quickly switch to higher performance when needed. We added the ECO+ mode to offer them flexibility and enhance the versatility of the package that the KRATOS R already provided. Depending on their mood, riders can extract the maximum range with this mode or unleash the full potential of the motorcycle in SPORT mode at the flick of a switch. And then, we also have an ECO and CITY mode for riders wanting to find the middle ground.”

Tork Kratos R: Price Range and Other Details
In our domestic market, the current price of the Tork Kratos R starts at Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, after FAME-II subsidy). Early in 2022, Tork Motors launched the Kratos in standard and R versions. The company, however, has only listed for sale the R variant, which has higher specifications. The standard model, which had a price tag of Rs 1.32 lakh at launch, featured comparable specifications but lacked a few amenities and had a marginally lower motor output and top speed. The Kratos' manufacturing and availability were constrained at the time because Tork built it at a small facility on its own. Under a contract manufacturing agreement, Tork moved Kratos production to the Chakan facility of the main collaborator Bharat Forge in March 2023. The factory has a 60,000-unit annual production capacity that may be increased to 1 lakh units annually.
