TVS Motor Company has sold 50,000 iQube electric scooters in India. The upcoming iQube ST variant of the scooter was unveiled at the recently held Auto show in India and will reportedly go on sale in the coming weeks.
TVS Motor Company has sold more than 50,000 units of the updated iQube since its official launch in May 2022. The firm's maiden electric product was launched in India with several improvements in terms of performance, features, and range, which reportedly have contributed to its huge sales numbers. Additionally, the sales network spreading across the Indian markets could be another reason behind the whopping sales of the electric two-wheeler. The iQube is currently offered in three different variants - the iQube, the iQube S, and the iQube ST. Similar specifications are provided for the first two variants, but the ST top-end model gets a larger battery pack, resulting in a claimed driving range of 140 Kilometre on a single charge. Additionally, the iQube ST gets a touchscreen cluster with a few updated features including, voice assist and TPMS. In a few weeks, the TVS iQube ST is anticipated to go on sale.
Both Standard iQube and iQube S are powered by a 3.4kWh battery pack that provides 100 kilometre of driving range. The existing battery pack with available trims and the upcoming larger one (5.1kWh) with the new TVS iQube ST, uses an indigenous battery management system (BMS) and thermal management system. Additionally, these batteries are IP67-rated for water resistance and dust.
