TVS recently unveiled a special version of the Ronin in honour of the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas. The exclusive bike, dubbed the Ronin Parakram, is a custom version that is unlikely to go into production. It has several cosmetic upgrades, including a metallic windscreen, bullet-shaped indicators, a new single seat, and a silver metallic-coated exhaust. The motorcycle is primarily adorned in a green and silver colour scheme. It features the colors of the Indian flag (green, white, and orange) pinstriped on the headlamp and tank. In addition to artwork depicting the Indian army on various components, the bike has a metallic finish across the tail. The special version is equipped with alloy wheels wrapped in knobby tyres.

TVS Ronin: Engine and Hardware
The Ronin Parakram, like the standard model, is driven by a 225.9cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that produces 20.12bhp at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm at 3,750rpm. It has a five-speed transmission. The bike's suspension includes a 41 mm USD at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Its stopping power comes from disc brakes on both ends.
TVS Ronin: Features
The 225cc neo-retro roadster has full-LED lighting, two ABS modes (rain and road), Glide Through Technology, and an LCD instrument cluster, which shows information like distance-to-empty, mileage, and gear shift indicator, speed, and engine revs. This unit also features the SmartXonnect function, which connects to the smartphone through Bluetooth to offer features like turn-by-turn navigation, and incoming calls/messages alerts.
TVS Ronin: Price and Rivals
The bike competes with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the Honda CB350 RS. It is priced between Rs 1.49 lakh and Rs 1.73 lakh (both, ex-showroom).

Other Developments
TVS was the third-best-selling brand in June, with 2.56 lakh units sold. Its YoY growth was 8%, and its market share was 16.56%. This month, the company introduced the new Apache RTR 160 Race Edition in India, priced at Rs 1.29 lakh. The bike features a sleek Matte Black paint finish with carbon fiber-inspired graphics and the Racing Edition logo, along with striking Red alloy wheels. Other features of the bike include turn-by-turn navigation, Glide Through Technology (GTT), three riding modes, an LCD console, and Bluetooth connectivity, among others.
