After playing its cards real close to the chest, TVS has finally launched the Ronin 225 in India. The motorcycle, as the company states, is built from the ground up as a brand-new product. Interestingly, the new Ronin is not confined to a specific type considering that it lies somewhere between a café racer and a scrambler. However, in terms of price and performance, a moniker that comes the closest would be the Yamaha FZ 25. So here’s how the two rank against each other on paper.

It is to be accepted that the FZ 25 is an ageing badge in Yamaha’s lineup. No design ethos has remained the same since inception with a few tweaks to fit the modern times. The FZ 25 comes with a muscular stance with a significantly large fuel tank and a slightly raised and neat-looking tail section.
