Audi RS Q8 Get New Performance Variant, Most Powerful SUV From the Brand
The facelifted Audi RS Q8 gets a new top-of-the-line Performance variant that delivers 631bhp and 850Nm. Let's look at other key features of the SUV in detail.
Audi has revealed the facelifted RS Q8, featuring a new 'Performance' variant that generates a whopping 631bhp. The new RS Q8 Performance variant produces 39.4bhp more power than the standard RS Q8 facelift, which continues to generate 592bhp and 800Nm from its twin-turbocharged V8 engine. It gets a newly engineered, lightweight exhaust system that contributes to the power increase, according to the four-ring brand. The RS Q8 Performance can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.6 seconds, while the standard version takes 3.8 seconds to do the same. The latter has an electronically restricted maximum speed of 250km/h, which can be raised to 280km/h or up to 305km/h as an option.

The SUVs come equipped as standard with high-torque electric spindle drive, all-wheel steering, and adaptive air suspension sport with adjustable damping. However, several extra upgrades are available for purchase, including the RS ceramic braking system (standard on the RS Q8 Performance), a Quattro sport differential, and an electromechanical active roll stabilization (eAWS) system.
It's noteworthy that the SUV's Performance variant was the fastest production SUV to lap the Nordschleife racetrack at the Nürburgring in 7 minutes, 36.698 seconds. Its racing version, however, had optional mechanical upgrades. Let's look at other details of the revised RS Q8.
