Auto Expo 2023: Test mules of the upgraded Harrier and the 2023 Tata Safari have been spotted several times on Indian roads. And now, the carmaker has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Tata Harrier EV at the Expo 2023. The new Tata Harrier is anticipated to go on sale in the middle of 2023. The electric SUV will now feature modern technology, stylistic changes, and interior upgrades. However, the main improvement on the model will be the introduction of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Based on the Gen 2 platform, the new Tata Harrier EV will be an AWD car, which means that it will have a dual-motor setup. In comparison to the Gen 1 design, on which the Tata Nexon EV is built, the Gen 2 platform will provide a better range and increased power to the new Tata Harrier EV. At the event, the company also shared its three-platform EV strategy, which will include a customized EV platform (Sigma/Gen 2), a repurposed ICE platform, and a skateboard (Born Electric/Gen 3) platform.

However, the overall form and appearance are remarkably similar to the SUV's diesel-powered version. The Tata Harrier EV is expected to have a price of Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). It is most likely to serve as a rival to the upcoming Mahindra XUV.E8 (electric XUV700) and as a more significant alternative to vehicles like the MG ZS EV and the BYD Atto 3.
At the Auto Expo 2023, the Tata Avinya EV concept made its debut with the Curvv EV concept.
