Along with several added creature comforts and an updated engine, the model receives significant exterior and interior changes. The manufacturer has also revamped the three-door variant of the SUV. The bookings for the all-new model are now open for a token amount of Rs 25,000. As for the launch, expect the Gurkha 5-door to arrive on our market by the first week of May. The 5-door will likely go on sale with prices starting at Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). Four colour options will be available for customers to choose from: Green, Red, White, and Black.
Force Gurkha 5-door: Dimensions
The Gurkha 5-door is 425mm longer and 15mm taller than the 3-door variant in terms of dimensions, measuring 4,390mm in length and 2,095mm in height (without roof carrier). In addition, its wheelbase is longer (2,825mm compared to 2,400mm for the 3-door). However, the width and all other measurements stay the same as the 3-door.

Force Gurkha 5-door: Styling Cues
The new Force Gurkha 5-door and its revised 3-door version have a nearly identical design. Both variants include a dual-slat grille with Gurkha lettering up front, circular LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs), cornering fog lights, turn indicators positioned on the fenders, and a snorkel. The Gurkha 3-door's boxy shape and body lines appear to be retained by the 5-door model when viewed from the side, however, the latter has two more rear doors. In addition, the Gurkha has 18-inch alloy wheels with diamond cuts, massive wheel arches, and blacked-out door handles. The rear end features a roof rack, a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, a tow hook, and vertically stacked LED taillamps.
Force Gurkha 5-door: Powertrain
Mechanically, Force has used the same 2.6-litre turbo diesel engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz, but it has been enhanced to produce 138bhp of maximum power and 320Nm of torque. This mill is coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox. Power is distributed to all four wheels via a low-range transfer case. Moreover, mechanical locking differentials on the front and rear wheels improve off-road performance.
Force Gurkha 5-door: Interior Layout
The Gurkha 5-door's dashboard arrangement is mostly unchanged from the previous 3-door model. The additional row of seats and the redesigned upholstery are the only prominent changes to the cabin. The second row of the five-door Gurkha has bench seats, and the third row has captain seats. Later on, Force is probably going to offer the elongated Gurkha with a different seating arrangement.
Force Gurkha 5-door: Feature Suite
Features-wise, the model has four power windows, a 7.0-inch digital driver's display, a manual air conditioner with rear vents positioned on the roof, and a nine-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other comforts come in the form of a second-row bench seat (5-door), an electronically controlled shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive selector, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering, an auto start-stop system, and powered OVRMs.
To ensure passenger safety, the SUV includes a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), traction control, rear parking sensors, hill-hold assist, dual airbags, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, anti-lock braking (ABS), and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).
