Hyundai Exter Knight Edition Teased Ahead of India Launch, Here's What to Expect
When it comes to design, the Hyundai Exter Knight Edition will sport a front grille with a glossy black finish and red inlays, all-black skid plates, and red front brake callipers.
Hyundai India is planning to launch a special Knight Edition of the Exter SUV. After the Venue and the pre-facelifted Creta, it will be the South Korean automaker's third model to receive this treatment. The Exter Knight Edition will have a striking look, as hinted by a recent teaser. Red highlights on the tailgate will stand out against the predominantly black paint job on the outside. This contrasts with the current Exter colour palette, which consists of five monotone shades (Atlas White, Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Starry Night, and Titan Grey) and three dual-tone options with a black roof. The carmaker has not yet included a black paint job for the SUV. However, the upcoming Knight Edition, with its distinctive black finish, could increase Exter's popularity among Indian car buyers.

Hyundai Exter Knight Edition: Exterior and Interior Updates
When it comes to design, the Exter Knight Edition will sport a front grille with a glossy black finish and red inlays, all-black skid plates, and red front brake callipers. Moreover, it will have blacked-out components on the roof rails, pillars, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, as well as the lettering and logos on the back.
The cabin will also have a dark theme, featuring all-black upholstery with coloured stitching and headrests adorned with Knight Edition emblems. Though themed floor mats and sill guards could be part of the package, the overall feature set will likely remain the same as the standard Exter.
Features-wise, the car comes equipped with automatic climate control, an integrated dashcam with a dual camera, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai's BlueLink-connected car technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, rear AC vents, footwell lighting, metal pedals, a digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, cruise control, paddle shifters, and voice-activated electric sunroof.
Hyundai Exter Knight Edition: Powertrain Options
On the mechanical front, the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) engine of the standard SUV, which puts out 113.8Nm of peak torque and 82bhp of maximum power, will remain in the Exter Knight Edition. It is mated to a five-speed AMT or manual gearbox. Given that the Creta and Venue aren't CNG-equipped, it will be intriguing to see whether Hyundai releases the Exter as the first Knight Edition vehicle to run on CNG.
