Hyundai Venue S(O) + Variant with Electric Sunroof Launched in India at Rs 10 Lakh
The Hyundai Venue S(O) + utilises a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
Hyundai has launched a new variant of the Venue compact SUV in India – the S(O) +. With the introduction of the new S(O) + variant, the Venue with an electric sunroof is now much more affordable than before. In comparison to the S(O) variant, the new S(O) + carries a price tag of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable variant to be offered with the sunroof. Meanwhile, the S(O) variant with electric sunroof is priced at Rs 10.75 lakh for the turbo-petrol 6MT.
Speaking of the engine, the Hyundai Venue S(O) + utilises a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. The engine in the new variant produces 82bhp and 114Nm of peak torque. Other engine options including the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel continue to be offered with the Venue.

Hyundai Venue S(O) +: What else?
Other than the new feature (sunroof), the Venue S(O) + packs in a digital instrument cluster and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay. There are also LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights. The vehicle prioritises the safety of the passengers with six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, and a reverse camera.
The Hyundai Venue currently ranges from Rs 7.94 lakh for the base E variant to Rs 13.48 lakh for the top-spec SX(O) Dual Tone Knight. The prices are ex-showroom, India. In terms of market competition, the Venue goes against the Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO. The MX2 Pro variant of the rival XUV 3XO also offers an electric sunroof feature, but it is priced less than the new Venue S(O) + at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

In other news, Hyundai just introduced its new dual-cylinder CNG setup in the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. The model is named the Grand i10 Nios Hy-CNG Duo and ranges from Rs 7.75 lakh for the Magna variant to Rs 8.30 lakh for the Sportz variant. The prices are ex-showroom, India.
