New Kia Carens: Features Onboard
Features-wise, the most significant addition to the Carens could be the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which includes functions such as blind-spot monitoring, emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Notably, the Carens is Kia's only vehicle in India without ADAS. The MPV is also expected to sport an air purifier, a sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and a premium Bose music system.
New Kia Carens: Powertrain
The Carens MPV will likely retain its current engine setup, which includes 1.5-litre petrol (113bhp), 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (158bhp), and 1.5-litre diesel (113bhp). While the turbo-petrol engine can be paired either with a 6-speed IMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the naturally aspirated petrol mill solely comes with a conventional manual gearbox. In comparison, the diesel unit offers three gearbox options: manual, iMT, and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
