Made-in-India Mahindra XUV 3XO Launched in South Africa; Priced Equivalent to Rs 12.16 Lakh
Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO in South Africa, with prices ranging from R2,54,999 to R4,04,999 (roughly Rs 12.16 lakh to Rs 19.31 lakh).
The Mahindra XUV 3XO, which launched in India in April of this year, is now available in South Africa, with prices ranging from R2,54,999 to R4,04,999 (roughly Rs 12.16 lakh to Rs 19.31 lakh). While the majority of the features on the outside and inside remain the same, the global-spec SUV differs from its Indian counterpart in terms of engine options and cosmetic changes. For the uninitiated, the SUV in India has nine variants (MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5 Luxury, AX7, and AX7 Luxury), and is priced between Rs 7.49 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). South-African Mahindra XUV 3XO: Exterior and Interior
The Mahindra XUV 3XO in South Africa is similar to the India-spec model, with features like auto-LED projector headlights, a piano black grille with chrome slats, C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a front bumper with a camera, and silver skid plate,17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and connected LED taillights. However, on the inside, the layout is almost similar, albeit with some changes, like an all-black cabin and black leatherette seats. For reference, the India-spec model sports a dual-tone black-and-white theme with white leatherette seats.
South African Mahindra XUV 3XO: Features
In terms of features, the South African version has a 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, two 10.25-inch screens, a wireless phone charger, and dual-zone AC with rear vents. It also gets a 360-degree camera with a blind-view monitor, traction control, rollover mitigation, six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC) with hill hold and descent control, all-wheel disc brakes, and ADAS. Notably, these amenities are also found in the India-spec model.

South African Mahindra XUV 3XO: Engine
In India, the SUV is available with three engine options: a 1.2-litre mStallion-TGDi with 129bhp and 230Nm, a 1.2-litre mStallion TCMPFi with 110bhp and 200Nm, and a 1.5-litre turbodiesel with 115bhp and 300Nm. The South African Mahindra XUV 3XO, on the other hand, only gets a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
