Maruti Suzuki S-Presso enters the bestseller club
With a recorded sale of 10,634 units in October alone, the S-Presso became an overall top-10 bestseller for the month, sitting in 8th place, just below the Kia Seltos. In fact, 8 of the top-10 bestsellers for October 2019 happen to be Maruti Suzuki models.
By recording a sales figure of 10,634 units last month, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso became a top-10 bestseller for October 2019.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso was launched in India on 30th September 2019, with the aim of giving the Manesar-based carmaker a stronghold at the lower end of the Indian automotive spectrum. Going by the S-Presso's sales figures for September & October 2019, the aim seems to be pretty much achievable. With a recorded sale of 10,634 units in October alone, the S-Presso became an overall top-10 bestseller for the month, sitting in 8th place, just below the Kia Seltos. In fact, 8 of the top-10 bestsellers for October 2019 happen to be Maruti Suzuki models.

The S-Presso is powered by the same 1.0-litre K10 petrol motor as the Alto. In the S-Presso, the BS-VI compliant engine develops 67bhp & 90Nm of torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The S-Presso locks horns with the recently-launched Renault Kwid facelift.
