New Mercedes-Benz CLA Sedan Looks Production-ready in Camouflage; to Debut Globally in 2025
The new-gen Mercedes-Benz CLA could get an all-screen dashboard, similar to that of the Vision EQXX.
The new-generation Mercedes-Benz CLA, the concept version of which made headlines last year, will debut next year. The new CLA will be the brand's third-generation sedan based on the MRA modular platform, which supports fully electric powertrains and combustion engines. The barely camouflaged CLA – featured in a special coverage for this year's fashion festival in Hyeres in southeastern France – shows off the sedan's swooping roofline. That is in line with the coupe-esque pretence. While the grille is covered in a creative wrap, it appears wider and has a three-pointed star logo at the centre. Both head- and taillamps seem to have full-width LED lighting. Albeit disguised, the design looks nearly production-ready and stays true to the Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA-Class.

Mercedes-Benz refuses to disclose whether the model in question is an EV or a combustion vehicle, but we think the car might be the former, thanks to the absence of an exhaust tip as well as a seemingly closed-off grille. Speaking of, the technical details are under wraps. That said, the concept version boasted two battery types – cost-effective lithium-ion phosphate chemistry and silicon-oxide anodes for improved energy density. The 800V electrical architecture enabled the concept to offer up to 250kW DC fast charging capabilities, ensuring that the battery is charged in 15 minutes. The concept claimed an electric range of 400km.
New Mercedes-Benz CLA: Interior
The company offers no interior details as well, but the new CLA could borrow styling cues from the Vision EQXX, including an MBUX Superscreen display and sustainable materials. Running the central infotainment system might be the new MB.OS operating system. Other expected bits include dual-zone climate control, Google Maps, and Level 2 ADAS.

The new Mercedes-Benz CLA is expected to be positioned as an entry-level model, and this could be because the company is most likely to phase out the A-Class sedan to streamline its compact car products. As far as our market goes, there is no official word as yet.
